I Hate Beginnings

I hate beginnings.

Those dreaded first days.

Knowing that the ‘once begun’

Leads inevitably to its demise.

Each day passing diminishes.

Seeing your only pleasure

In the anticipation

Is a misapprehension

That poisons your life.
