In the Bible God hates sin. You sin when of free will you choose wrong over right. Your sin betrays the trust God places in you. As an atheist, I see my sin as the betrayal of my genuine-self.

i sinned with a twist

not for pleasure

but for the pain

i sinned to punish

my having sinned

—told i had sinned

was that a lie?

yet to love a lie

a lifetime

is the greater sin

i seized my own life

shook from it joy

my mortal sin
